A flavourful menu for each day will be put together before safari.  All ingredients and foodstuffs will be carried within the vehicles and meals will be prepared fresh at camp by the guides.  Cooking is always done by our enthusiastic chef allowing you some pleasant leisure time.

To get a good start for the day you will have coffee and rusks before the crack of dawn.  When returning from an exciting photo session, a breakfast will be put together in true South African style by means of a brunch.  A Brunch can be described as a combination of breakfast and lunch and actually serves as both due to the time it is enjoyed but also the variety of ingredients.

Dinner will include a variety of local dishes, most of which will be prepared on an open fire.  Locally this is known as a “BRAAI”, and no it’s not a BBQ, it’s even better!  No safari is complete without a braai.  This is the perfect occasion to taste some lamb chops, Boerewors or fine South African Steaks, grilled to perfection served with “pap and sheba” or “braai broodjies”.  Fresh bread, salads and vegetables will all form part of nutritious meals included in your safari.  Vegetarians are happily catered for on any safari.

All your drinking water will be supplied and is included in your safari.  We invite you to bring along your own beverages (alcoholic and/or non-alcoholic) to enjoy with your meals or during the day.  Since there are no shops or amenities close by, we urge you to bring along any snacks or foodstuff, such as biltong, dried fruits, potato chips, candy or anything else that you wish to enjoy between meals.

While you will be on a camping safari, you will still enjoy tasteful meals which may not be fine cuisine but is certainly described as top quality camping cuisine.
