On top of this, Defenders have exceptional off-road capabilities, are great for photographs and will certainly add to a truE safari experience.
The vehicles provide comfortable packing space for your clothing and your camera gear. All the camping equipment needed on safari is included with the vehicle. Tyre repair kits, cutlery, crockery and chairs are all part of the package to ensure that you can enjoy a comfortable camping trip to your selected destination.
The safaris are not only for people with Land Rovers! Any 4x4 make or model is welcome on all of the safaris. There might also be a safari where you do not need a 4x4. thombe SAFARI prefer to keep the standard of vehicles and their capabilities high as it would be unfair to other visitors to amend a route in the case of bad weather and rough roads. Over and above the already included insurance and support, immediate assistance can be provided from thombe SAFARI as the guides are experienced and are familiar with the selected vehicles. An international driving licence is not required for South Africa however; your license must be printed in English. NO former off-road driving experience is needed, you just have to be older then 24 to qualify for driving a selected vehicle.
